Beats released a video showing the first Beats Music Co-Signed artist, GoldLink.
Carl Chery, Head of Hip-Hop/R&B at Beats Music, writes, “For those of you who aren’t familiar with GoldLink, he’s a 21-year-old rapper from the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) who fuses hip-hop and electronic in a fresh new way. The two genres have been bedfellows for some time now, but they seem to be on the verge of merging in an unprecedented way.” Although not claiming to be an expert in dance music, Chery posits, “Goldlink is the first artist to tastefully incorporate rap and dance as part of his musical DNA.”
