Apple Music launched today, essentially shuttering Beats Music. Launched in January of 2014, Beats Music was led by Ian Rogers. With the Apple purchase of Beats in May of 2014, Rogers continued on with Apple seemingly integrating what worked on Beats Music into Apple Music. This is the end of the Beats Music service and likely the natural completion of this Beats Music Now blog. I’ve chronicled the Beats Music streaming service, and to an extent, the entire music streaming ecosystem.
