T-Mobile’s Music Freedom offer began in June with iHeartRadio, iTunesRadio, Pandora, Rhapsody, Samsung Milk, Slacker and Spotify. They have now added 6 more services: AccuRadio, Black Planet, Grooveshark, Radio Paradise, Rdio and Songza.
Music Freedom allows T-Mobile customers to stream all the music they want from the selected services — all without using up any data. Great offering.
T-Mobile says customers “are streaming 5 million more songs per day than before the launch of Music Freedom.”
At&T and Sprint are the other two mobile carriers in the U.S. to have digital music initiatives. They offer reduced family-plan subscription pricing for Beats Music and Spotify respectively.
Beats Music is curiously absent from T-Mobile’s Music Freedom offer. Google Play Music might be added later this year so perhaps Beats Music will join at that time too.
