Beats Music launched their developers platform in March, about 8 weeks after they launched their music service. They say that over 500 applications have begun development. With this kind of enthusiasm in the developers community, they have released Beats Audio Manager – “a web playback library that makes it easy for developers to play audio in their web applications.”
It appears to be a focused strategy allowing developers to make applications and use music from the Beats Music catalog for their applications. The Beats Music blog says they are encouraged by the developments they’ve seen so far and will “continue to simplify playback on all platforms.”
