Beats Blues & Folk genreThis week I couldn’t resist picking two quirky playlists:
Sittin’ and Cryin’ and
Leftfield Downers.
Their titles alone intrigued me and they compliment each other, in a strange sort-of-way. They come from Beats Music genre Blues/Folk.

Sittin’ and Cryin’ is like a companion commiserating with you – holding on while you pass that deep dark place.

Leftfield Downers, as you may have guessed, has music from the 1960’s and 70’s. Beats curator Joe Colley says these tunes are rare and moody. The line that clinched it for me was:

Feeling tired of life never sounded so sweet.

Listen to the Friday quirky playlists: Sittin’ and Cryin’ and Leftfield Downers.

Every Friday I’ll seek out a quirky playlist – something that intrigues or dumbfounds; a playlist that is multiple degrees off-center.
